Many thanks to Bob and Mike Avis (NBS National Show Secretary) for
their skilful negotiating and professional input in securing the venue
of our National at Shrewsbury for the foreseeable future.
The mould for success in our achievements were set last Summer when
the N B S were invited to erect a bureau at Shrewsbury. We, without
knowing, were assessed by those involved in the running of the Show in
our mannerism and overall presentation of our Society.
Our display, although small, in comparison to those of other
Societies was appreciated by the visitors' and especially by the Judge
who after the judging remarked that or display '' drew the crowds like
bees to a honey pot''. We didn't win any prizes; however, we won the
vote of the spectators' for the best flower display in the Severn
Marquee!! Another remark by the Judge, was that we were the best
presented group of all the other Societies as'' we were all as one''
wearing our National Begonia Polo Shirts''.
Our Society, now has the chance to shine in front of a new audience
		at an established major Show.
