Awards:
The Grantham Cup
Will be awarded to the exhibitor with the most points in classes 1 -
23
Points will be awarded as follows:
Classes 1 & 7
6 4 3
Classes 2,6,8,9,12,14 & 21
4 3 2
Classes 3,4,5.10,11,13,15,16,17,18,19,20 & 23
3 2 1
In the event of a tie, the Exhibitor gaining the greater number of first
prizes will be awarded the cup,
and if still tied the Exhibitor gaining the greater number of second
prizes shall be deemed the winner.
The NBS 60th. Anniversary Medal and Rosette will be
awarded to the best pot of Begonias and also the best cut-bloom.
The Newton
Trophy will be awarded to the best exhibit in the Show.
The Peterborough Begonia Group Perpetual Challenge Plate will be
awarded to the winner of Class 1.
The Stanley Dickenson Trophy will be awarded to the winner of
Class 2.
The Roy Mackey Memorial Bowl will be awarded to the
winner of Class 7, there will also be a replica bowl which the recipient
will keep.
The Andy James Cup will be awarded to the winner of class 8.
The Kettering Cup will be awarded to the best pot in Classes 11 to 14.
The Intermediate Trophy will be awarded to the best exhibit in Classes
20 and 21.
The Peterborough Begonia Group Novice Shield will be awarded to the
best exhibit in Classes 22 and 23.
The Ladies Cup will be awarded to the best exhibit in show by a
lady.
The Grantham Cup will be awarded to the Exhibitor with the most
points. Judging
to National Begonia Society (NBS) rules.
Classes 1 - 19 are open to all NBS members.
Classes 20 - 21 are restricted to members who have won no more than 3
first prizes, excluding the Novice Classes.
Classes 22 - 23 are restricted to members who have not won more than 2 first prizes
in a members' Begonia Class, excluding Classes 11 - 19.
Exhibitors may make more than one entry per class but will
only be awarded one prize.
Boards will be provided for the cut-bloom classes but
exhibitors may use their own which must comply with NBS rules.
Staging
Friday 3.00pm. - 8.00pm. and Saturday 8am. - 9.30am
Removal of Exhibits
After
4pm. on Sunday 3rd. August.
