				The pictures on the accompanying pages are of pot plants in 9" pots being prepared for 
				exhibition.n
				
				Three basal shoots should be selected for training into a 
				triangle and they should be secured
				to outward sloping canes by gently pulling them 
				towards the canes with soft synthetic twine.  
				n  
				This tying will require to be altered each week to permit the 
				arrangement of the subsequent flowers in a manner that they do 
				not overlap each other.
				
				Other requirements:
				
				Aim for 5 flowers on each stem.
				Varieties which are free branching should be chosen.
				Those varieties which do not produce leafage down the edge of 
				the pot should be avoided.
				The buds are secured at 1¼" diameter some 5 weeks before the 
				show.
