      | JUNEJune was a busy
month, with bedding out the garden and trying to keep on top of things,
as well as trying to keep the Robin from nesting in the Honeymoon
basket, he thought it was a great idea and was evicted more than once
from the Greenhouse. What a welcome sight the Sun was for everyone, if
		only in dribs and drabs.
As you can see from the photos the garden is now on its way to its
Summer display, and the baskets are beginning to take off, thought the
weather has predicted to be hot by 2nd week July I will have to keep on
top of the watering and feeding which I do at quarter strength with
chempax  no 3 at every watering, for the garden, tubs, baskets and
		cutting tubers.
I have now started to select the plants for Southport Show, with
the help of my Begonia buddies. I am selecting plants with one main
steam, 3 - 4 side shoots and facing forward for the 20 pot display. For
my one pot I will select plants with an all round look, with 3 main
steams and 3 sides shoots on each steam. Easier said than done.!!!! The
other things I find myself constantly looking for are them little pests
that can do so much harm, also the mildew, which can become prominent
with the hot and humid weather. The sulphur fumer is on for 3 hrs three
times a week at night to try and combat both.
Will keep you all update on the progress of my Begonias, stress
		allowing!!!!
