The
area show, held in conjunction with the Bideford & District Cacti &
Pot Plant Club (its 41st show) was held at the Pannier
Market, Bideford, North Devon on Sunday 12th August. One
of the smaller NBS shows it certainly attracts some quality
exhibits. This year numbers were up by around 10%; and there were
some new exhibitors which holds good for the future. It was
generally agreed that the benchmark of quality, demonstrated by the
entries of a National Champion, who supports the show, is leading to
superior plants and blooms. It illustrates what members can learn
by attending a NBS show with the advice and camaraderie freely
available.
